Bill Zehnder has served as president of Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn, Inc. since 1980--part of the third generation of family in the hospitality industry. The Bavarian Inn is a 1,200 seat family-owned restaurant in Frankenmuth, and includes a bar, retail shops, and over 400 employees which served over a half million (550,000) meals in 2010, ranked in the top 100 independent U.S. restaurants. The "buck stops" with Bill in management and operation of the Bavarian Inn; duties include daily and long-term organizational and manpower development, innovation, guest satisfaction, and financial responsibilities. In 1998, he was named managing partner of Frankenmuth River Place Shops, an exciting 72,000 sq. ft. European Village featuring 40 shops and attractions that opened in the summer of 2001.
